MUHAMMAD (pbuh) is a quality, character, noble, dignified, worthy, dear, respectable, sir, gentleman..... he (pbuh) had all the nice features.
He treated everyone well and kindly.Human relations have been level. Even if the person in front of him became ugly, he would not break his line, moreover, he would act compassionately.
MUHAMMED(pbuh) had no fondness for women, girls. He was not a lustful person. Married life was about fidelity, although he had the opportunity , he did not commit adultery.
If he was a lust-loving person, he would have constant companionship like the people of his time and this time. He would have many girlfriends. He would have a life of adultery. but he didn't choose life like that
From the age of 15 to the age of 45, when the lust was at its peak, he was satisfied with a single old woman and accepted her marriage proposal and did not marry anyone else until she died.
He(pbuh) had marriages based on important wisdoms and reasons when lust decreased after the age of 45.
"According to Watt, all of MUHAMMED's marriages served a policy of strengthening friendship relations and were founded on Arab traditions.[3] Esposito states that some of MUHAMMED's marriages were aimed at giving widows a chance at a new life.[4][5] Francis Edwards According to Peters, it is difficult to make generalizations about MUHAMMED's marriages; some of them were political, some were about pity, some of them were about the work of women whose spouses died in the war did not have difficulties in the street and in life.[6] .[wikipedia]"
The first reason for the marriage of MUHAMMED (pbuh) is that the women he married tell people and especially women what they learned from the PROPHET (pbuh).
1. Hatice, he is 45 years old in some rumors. Hatice made the marriage proposal herself.
2. Sevde, one of the first Muslims. He is 55 years old. Sevde is lonely and in need of help.
3. Ayşe. In the Arabs, the age of girls began when they entered puberty. According to rumors, her age estimate is around 17/18. "According to historians and bibliographers, Aisha was at least 15 years old when she got married. In addition, Aisha was engaged or verbally engaged to Jubayr ibn Mut'im before she got engaged to the Prophet.
4.Hafza, was left alone when her husband died in the war. He (pbuh) got married when others refused to marry Hafza.
5. zeynep, was left alone when her husband died in the war. According to rumors, zeynep is a 60-year-old old woman in need of help and she died two years after her marriage.
6. Umm Salama. According to rumors, she is a 44-year-old widow in need of help and an old woman with many children.
7.The daughter of Sufya, the enemy of islam, is Umm Habib.
When she could not live her faith in the difficult conditions of Mecca, she had to migrate to Abyssinia with her husband. However, during this time, her husband first became a Christian, then died and remained alone. The Prophet (pbuh) got married. If He had not married, this lonely and lonely woman would have either returned to Mecca and abandoned her religion in the face of the severe persecution of her father and family, either asking for help from Christians or begging door to door and continuing her life. Abu Sufyan, who was the fierce enemy of Islam, alleviated the torture he inflicted on the believers, and even a little bit of his fierce grudge against the Prophet had given him peace. In the wider circle, a kinship with the Umayyads was established, which became an element that facilitated their conversion to Islam.
As it is clearly seen, in this marriage, there is a need to come to the aid of an orphan and hold his hand, to alleviate the torture inflicted on Muslims by means of him, and to establish a kinship with a fierce enemy and cause him to come to faith.
8. cuveyriye
This marriage of the Prophet (pbuh) is also around the age of sixty. In this marriage, he aimed to establish kinship with an important tribe, ensured the release of many captives, and more importantly, he was instrumental in the honor of many Jews with Islam, and he had a wife whose husband died in the war, and therefore full of hatred towards Islam and Muslims. took her under the wings of compassion and elevated her to the rank of the mother of the believers.
9. Safiye
Safiye's Jewish father, husband and brother were killed, and many of her tribe were taken captive. Safiyya was full of hatred and grudge against Islam.
After the war, the Prophet (pbuh) made her soften by marrying him. With this marriage, kinship with a significant part of the Jews was established and it was possible for them to get to know Islam closely.
10.mariyetül kobtiyya
The Prophet (pbuh) was sending letters to the rulers around him to invite them to Islam. One of them was Muqawqis, the ruler of Egypt. Mukavkıs welcomed the ambassador in a nice way and sent two concubines to the Prophet along with some gifts. The Prophet (pbuh) freed Mariye and married her; his son Ibrahim is from this wife.
This marriage exerted a great influence on all Egyptians. In the war between the Muslims and the Byzantines in Egypt, the Egyptians remained neutral and did not support the Byzantines. One of the reasons for this is that a woman from their own nation was married to the Prophet.
11.Meymune
The Prophet and the Muslims went on a circumambulation visit to Mecca. Meanwhile, the Prophet's uncle, Abbas, proposed to the Prophet to marry Meymuna. Because Meymuna was Abbas' sister-in-law and gave him the right to marry. The Prophet accepted this offer and married her. In the face of this situation, the Meccans said: "It means that the Prophet still harbors friendship and benevolence towards his fellow countrymen." they commented.
When he made this marriage, the Prophet was around sixty years old. Its purpose is to extend a helping hand to a widowed woman, to save someone who is a Muslim but still among the polytheists in Mecca, and to make a gesture against the Meccans.
12. zeynep
During the period of ignorance, the concept of slavery and the privileged class was deeply embedded. It should be emphasized that this should be abolished and that people's superiority in the sight of ALLAH would be based on piety, not class, rank or race. For this, it was necessary to remove this mistake with marriage, which is one of the most sensitive issues.
The Prophet (pbuh) wanted to take a step in this field by marrying a noble and beautiful girl like zeyneb to his freed servant Zayd.
But this marriage did not go well. There was no sincere love and respect between them. Although Zeyneb was a pious and God-fearing woman, she was proud of her beauty and nobility, and looked down on her husband, who was a freed slave, by saying sarcastic words.
Zayd could not stand this increasing conflict. The Prophet (pbuh) applied and said that he wanted to divorce his wife. and eventually divorced his wife.
After a while, it was time to abolish another common wrong practice in ignorance. This was the mistake of accepting adopted children as natural sons, and therefore considering their wives as the birth daughters of fathers.
Islam had fundamentally changed the institution of adoption.
(Ahzab, 33/5)
The Prophet (pbuh), who knew zeyneb before when she was a virgin, could have married him before he married her to Zayd. There was no obstacle to it.
In this marriage, there are important wisdoms such as correcting the common old mistakes in the society and placing a new set of provisions.
